Picture this: a sunny Sunday morning. Birds are chirping, and the sun is up, looking down on you. You just woke up, but you already feel so awake given that it’s a bright summer day. You get to the kitchen, get the milk out of the fridge and start brewing coffee. You pour yourself a cup and add a dash of milk to it–that’s how you like it.

You’re sipping your morning coffee on your navy blue Cozey armchair when you think to yourself “Hmm, music would be nice right about now.” And so you get up, get to your phone on the counter, and open your music app. You’re debating whether you should press shuffle in your liked songs, or pick a slow morning playlist. You tell yourself it’d be better with a playlist, since some of your liked songs are “meh” and you know you’ll spend more time skipping songs than actually listening to them. So you scroll through Spotify’s playlists, until you realize how many are offered and how you have no idea what would be good or not.

This week’s Top Five Friday presents 5 perfect Spotify playlists for home, and for slow mornings  like this one. Because music just makes everything lighter, better, and simpler. There’s nothing like good  music playing in the living room; it makes your home happy, and we’re pretty sure it will make you happy, too.

If you love covers, or remastered songs, we highly recommend this playlist. From older songs to newer ones, there’s something for everyone. You’ll find Hozier remastering Destiny’s Child “Say My Name” and Alessia Cara offering her version of Nelly Furtado’s “I’m Like a Bird”. Cover playlists? We love them!

Soft Pop Hits

Great songs, by great artists. It holds all the soft pop songs from this generation, and this makes it perfect for singing along. Maybe not the best choice for doing something that demands concentration, but definitely ideal for a brunch with friends!
